Welcome

Northern Trust Land are bringing forward plans for a neighbourhood of 150 new homes at St Cleers, near Ricksey Lane in Somerton, alongside new public open spaces and a community orchard for current and future residents to enjoy.

Our proposals respond to Somerton’s urgent need for new housing, offering a range of homes to meet housing needs of all ages and backgrounds in a neighbourhood built around the site’s natural features. With 35% of our housing being affordable, it’s the ideal opportunity to take that first step onto the housing ladder for young people in the area.

Our site and its benefits

Our site is located to the east of Ricksey Lane, located south of Foxglove Road and west of St Cleers. Within 15 minute’s walk of the centre of Somerton, the site is well positioned to provide new and existing residents with access to local schools, shops, services and transport infrastructure.

Help shape our proposals

We want our proposals to reflect what Somerton needs. Our public consultation, which ran from 10th to 28th July told us how we can improve our proposals and ensure they benefit the community further before we submit a planning application to Somerset Council.

As part of our consultation, we hosted an in-person event at Edgar Hall on Wednesday 23rd July 2025 from 4pm – 7pm, where residents had the opportunity to review our proposals, speak directly with our project team, provide feedback and have their questions answered.

For those who couldn’t attend our in-person event, you can view our consultation event information boards at the link below.
